Making Commercial Buildings kepSmart
This is a view down onto the floor of a commercial building. It shows a common temperature profile of a floor with no control at the floor or room level. Temperature is often controlled by an ALL ON method at the boiler which creates a similar, uneven temperature profile like the one shown in every section or on every floor, with unavoidable hot and cold spots. Simply monitoring temperatures does not correct the problem, you need control in every space.

While each building is unique, the fundamentals of the kepSmart network are the same in most installations. Virtual Zones are systematically created (typically around every heating/cooling distribution point), with each battery-powered zone including at least a temperature sensor and a control valve to open and close the Virtual Zone. Each Virtual Zone communicates wirelessly with the kepSmart cloud servers.

The AI-driven software in the cloud continuously monitors temperatures and sends instructions to each Virtual Zone based on your settings and the current weather conditions. It also tracks trends and changes, constantly building an historical usage pattern. This historical data enables the system to predict behaviors so heating/cooling can be delivered in the most efficient and timely manner, creating a consistently comfortable environment throughout each Virtual Zone, each floor/section, and each building.
